ZHU Releases Yet Another Mysterious Video
Short film has proven to be Chinese-American DJ/producer, ZHU’s, preferred method of communication with fans in past months, his first video an advertisement for “Nightcrawler,” the latest album expected from the “Faded” hit maker.
In the months that have followed the release of the Nightcrawler album trailer, ZHU has released the eponymous single from the album, published the album’s track list, and identified the date for the first warehouse event in what is presumed to be a series of several, all falling under the title “Blacklizt.” Based in New York, the introductory Blacklizt warehouse takeover will fall on June 24th. In classic clandestine warehouse party fashion, the location of the venue in which the show will take place has yet to be disclosed.
ZHU has amplified the mystery promoted by his previous social media posts in another teaser video, uploaded today to his Facebook page. The question since ZHU’s cryptic signaling of the anticipated Nightcrawler record has not been a matter of if the GENERATIONWHY producer is up to something, but rather, what he is up to. While the video does not definitively answer that inquiry, it does imply that further information is soon to come regarding both the forthcoming album and the Blacklizt event.
A clip of mannequins housed in a warehouse as they are dismembered by an unspecified entity, the video is eerie, an extension of the noir aesthetic implemented in previous ZHU branded posts. The scene could very well be a clip from an unreleased music video, but only time will tell.
