RL Grime Publishes Newsletter With Major Tour Clues
Select RL Grime fans found a surprise waiting in their mailbox this morning. Among junk mail and bills, several Grime groupies would have found a physical newsletter from the “Because of U” producer, a package rife with exclusive photographs of the DJ in the studio, concept images for his new career defining concept, transcripts from a studio session with Miguel for their collaboration “Stay For It,” and a personal letter from RL Grime himself outlining the significance of “Nova,” the production concept to be applied by the producer on
“…the next chapter of the RL Grime project.”
“I am calling this journey Nova,” Grime writes in the letter, whose body appears in its full form below. A nova, by its astronomical definition, is an occurrence when a star “shows a sudden large increase in brightness, then slowly returns to its original state over a few months.” In accordance with the phenomenon, RL Grime is poised to achieve levels of unprecedented musical luminescence following the development of this newfound scientific aesthetic.
The newsletter’s final page displays an image of a nova, circled by a list of locations, including Boston, Toronto, San Francisco, and various others. Although the page is simply titled “Cities,” with no further identifying information provided, the page presumably highlights the areas that RL Grime will be visiting on a tour that has likely yet to be announced.
RL Grime fans seeking a copy of the "Novazine" may purchase one via the button.
