See it: Ultra Music Festival's Stage Construction Has Officially Begun
Now that passes have been mailed to their purchasers, the construction of Ultra Music Festival’s various stages—Mainstage, the Carl Cox Megastructure, Resistance, Arcadia, and the Live Stage—is poised to begin, with trucks already starting to unload building materials at Bayfront Park, the host to the three-day festival slated for March 24th-26th.
The images below, courtesy of EDM Tunes, offer a visual of the festival’s construction in its initial stages. Bayfront Park issued a brief statement on its Facebook page on Monday advising Floridians to be aware that the “load-in” of festival equipment had started. The stocking of UMF materials—the festival now in its nineteenth-year—has in past years been known to affect regular traffic patterns in Miami, the building phase of the festival a large scale event that necessitates a considerable number of various vehicle types in order to accumulate festival materials, and then to piece them together.
In the week to come, further sneak peeks of the stages will inevitably begin to surface as those based in Miami near Bayfront catch previews of the stages as they’re completed. The 2017 festival season, however officially or unofficially, begins in a mere two weeks, with Ultra the event to open the term.
