Ultra Music Festival Just Revealed Phase 2 and It Was Worth The Wait
If patience is a virtue, it’s a virtue that has appeared with relative rarity among Ultra Music Festival ticket holders in recent months.
Miffed by the length of time taken by the festival to reveal its second and final phase of the Miami festival’s lineup, fans took to social media to express their frustration: “is it just me or does it take longer for phase two to be announced each year?” lamented a fan on the UMF Facebook page.
Yet some things are worth a wait, and among those specific things is phase two of Ultra Music Festival, the final piece of the festival lineup having dropped on the UMF Twitter account at 4 AM this morning. With an exclamation uttered consistently among ticket holders— “finally!”—ravers caught a glimpse of the Bayfront Park festival’s complete lineup, one that since its early morning release has been heralded as one of—the not the best—the most electronically diverse and impressive lineups to be offered by the nineteen-year-old festival in recent years.
Each category of the three pronged lineup—live headliners, DJ headliners, and support artists—witnessed the addition of the names of premiere performers of various genres and styles of dance music. The live headliners section notably gained “Faded” producer, ZHU, and KSHMR. DJ headliners and support artists were the two categories to observe the most growth in terms of DJs gained. DJ headliners received Tiesto, Zedd, Adam Beyer, and Galantis, in addition to other prominent DJ headliners, while REZZ, Malaa, Don Diablo, and Adventure Club joined the ranks of the sprawling support artists section. Phase two of UMF’s lineup appears in photographs below, where each name that has since joined the lineup may be viewed.
As 2017 Ultra Music Festival ticket holders may now testify with peak confidence, the festival never disappoints.
