Pasquale Rotella Issues Statement on EDC Vegas Safety
Ariana Grande’s benefit concert— “One Love Manchester”—for the victims of the Manchester Arena suicide bombing that occurred during a show in Manchester on her “Dangerous Woman” tour generated a substantial amount of money to be donated to the British Red Cross’s Manchester Emergency Fund, but even as positivity and optimism abounded during the philanthropic event, the rest of the world continues to feel the tension engendered by the tragedy.
Given Las Vegas’s commercial stature, and its recent identification as a potential target in the most recent propaganda video filmed and published by terror group, ISIS, concern has enveloped Insomniac’s EDC Las Vegas, slated for June 16th-18th. Cognizant of the omnipresent threat posed by terrorism, Insomniac head, Pasquale Rotella, took to address festival safety, reminding attendees that “…safety is and always has been our [Insomniac’s] #1 priority.”
Rotella notifies ticket holders that they will be required to show their wristbands at various locations, that bag checks and pat-downs will continue as in past years, and that an updated list of accepted/prohibited items is live on the EDC Las Vegas website. Rotella’s full Facebook post appears below.
