Pretty Lights Announces Puerto Rico Based Festival Event, "Island of Light"

            In the wake of the destruction that follows Ja Rule and Billy McFarland’s failed Fyre Festival rises Derek Vincent Smith’s latest Pretty Lights production, “Island of Light.”

            The event, a “tropical four-day destination event” hosted on the Waldorf Astoria Resort, El Conquistador, Island of Light is reminiscent of Fyre Fest in the nature of its design. Slated to take place in Fajardo, Puerto Rico next December 7th-10th, Island of Light offers the Pretty Lights fan brigade a picturesque destination in which to escape the frigid December temps.      

            The island affair is headlined by Vincent Smith each of the three nights of production, with Smith’s live band expected to appear alongside the DJ each evening. Joining the Pretty Lights crew is Thievery Corporation, Atmosphere, Gramatik, Cut/Copy, Tycho, FKJ, Lettuce, Emancipator, The Floozies, Manic Focus, and Ganja White Night, among others.             Island of Light package purchasers will receive an “all-inclusive resort experience” that includes hotel lodging, the concert ticket, buffet style meal options, drinks, and transportation from the San Juan airport to the El Conquistador resort. Resort guests will additionally receive discounts on Puerto Rico based excursions, upscale on site restaurants, and resort amenities. Island of Light will offer a daily rate of 15% off booking dates for those guests who wish to arrive earlier than the December 7th start date, and/or stay later than the event’s December 10th conclusion.

            Resort package prices will be announced on Wednesday, May 10th at 12 PM. These packages will become available for purchase at 12 PM on Friday, May 12th.
