The Chainsmokers Release Gorgeously Crafted New Music Video for "Paris"
Chainsmokers comprisals Drew Taggart and Alex Pall are in the midst of several career defining firsts. With a Grammy award now under their belts, and their debut studio album “Memories: Do Not Open” scheduled to release on Friday, April 7th, The Chainsmokers have steadily continued to develop their sound and image as artists since their 2012 debut in the dance music scene. Among the various identity shaping firsts currently under way for The Chainsmokers is the filming of what Taggart and Pall have taken to Twitter to declare their “favorite video” that they have “ever done.”
That “favorite video” is none other than the music video for the latest Chainsmokers single, “Paris.” Released on Thursday, February 16th, the music video is a beautifully crafted visual representation of the song’s sentiment that features Victoria Secret supermodel, Martha Hunt, as the video’s female protagonist. Hunt levitates within a Parisian inspired house hoisted in a domestic French dreamscape surrounded by clouds as Taggart and Pall look on from the ground. Taggart lip syncs his vocal parts as Hunt allows herself to escape the confines of the house and fall in time with the song’s beat drop.
The Paris music video is less of a music video and more of an art piece--watch the brand new video below.
