Is a Flume & Dua Lipa collaboration on its way? Possibly
When it comes to social media, it can be difficult to delineate between implied collaboration and mere camaraderie.
Flume has laid somewhat low since his release of “Skin,” the studio album that would go on to win him a Grammy award for “Best Dance/Electronica Album.” Yet judging by a tweet recently posted by the Australian producer, Flume just might have an exclusive new collaboration in his back pocket. While the buzz that surrounds the Twitter video shared by Flume in which the DJ, Dua Lipa, and Sarah Arrons ride scooters to the tune of “Ridin’ Dirty” in the background might primarily be the product of exaggerated—and hopeful—fan speculation, Flume very well may be hinting at a new collaboration with Dua Lipa, memorable for her work with Martin Garrix on “Scared to Be Lonely,” and various What So Not releases.
Regardless of whether a Flume/Dua Lipa projects looms on the horizon of inevitable releases, Flume has advertised a clear association with the vocalist, signifying that if a collaboration is not currently in the works, it’s not at all impossible.
