New Spotify Addition Suggests ODESZA is Set to Release New Music Soon
A picturesque location, one needs not wonder why Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre is hailed as an iconic venue for performers, ODESZA included. The Seattle originated electronic music duo turned heads in 2016, captivating those gathered on the terra cotta hued steps of the outdoor venue via live instrumentation crossovers and breathtaking production. Being that even the most precise word choice cannot equate to the awe inspiring nature of the “Sun Models” creators’ 2016 appearance, we’ve included the 2016 wrap up video for the performance below.
Back indeed by popular demand for the 2017 year, it would hardly be surprising to note that ODESZA’s Saturday, May 27th booking at the amphitheatre swiftly sold out, an overwhelming demand for tickets prompting the addition of a second consecutive show on Sunday, which in following in Saturday’s footsteps, likewise sold out.
The bar of expectation set to a considerable height by the duo the previous year, ODESZA fans have speculated that the debut of new music at the May shows might be in store, exclusive musical material presumed to be the duo’s golden ticket to surpassing the quality of the prior year’s event. Judging by the latest Spotify update to ODESZA’s artist page, it seems that the fans just might have been onto something after all: pictured above, a new album cover has surfaced on the page, mysteriously titled in a string of symbols that appear to be written in Morse code. If indeed Morse code, the title would translate to “4.25,” or April 25th, suggesting that the “Say My Name” taste makers are hinting at a new release that day.
Whatever ODESZA has in store, and whenever it may be released, the Spotify addition signifies that the duo has something waiting in the wings, readied to take flight at Red Rocks.
