Webster Hall announces final shows
As the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end.”
But if you ask Webster Hall’s general manager, Gerard McNamee, he’d rephrase the expression to read “all biggest, baddest, things must come to an end.” McNamee took to Instagram this week to share a photo of the nightclub’s exterior, writing “Sad but true, the legendary and world-famous Webster Hall has been sold and will close as we know it for its final club night on Saturday, August 5th, 2017…there are only 12 club nights left. Please come celebrate our rich 25-year history of being the biggest, baddest and longest running nightclub in the history of New York City.”
Webster Hall will be newly owned by “Barclays/AEG/Bowery Presents,” the joint entity that will be closing the venue for an “undisclosed period of time” for renovation. Built in 1886, Webster Hall was opened in 1992 by the Ballinger Brothers. The space has become an integral part of, and influence over New York’s dance music scene.
The nightclub has now announced its final roster of shows before it closes. The show dates and artists may be viewed via the button below.
