The Magician Just Released a Catchy New Track, "Tied Up"
Belgium born Stephen Fasano’s stage name may be “The Magician,” yet you won’t find the “Shy” producer solely pulling rabbits out of hats, or levitating fans; no, although known for his incorporation of stunts into his live sets, the real “magic” of the house/future house/nu-disco tastemaker enters in his master musical crafting, each Magician offering an auditory fascination.
The Magician made waves via his re-imagination of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers” in 2011, and Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” in 2014, remixes that earned The Magician tens of thousands of listens, yet it would be his 2016 original track, “Shy” that would garner the DJ/producer an increased rate of attention on account of the song’s smashing house grooves.
The Magician has produced yet another confection of musical construction, “Tied Up,” a captivating single that calls on the vocals of 70’s influenced pop singer/songwriter, Julian Perretta. An innovator of beat conception, The Magician develops a rhythm on “Tied Up” that is comparably understated when aligned with previous release, “Shy,” although equally infectious.
Perretta’s vocal contribution pairs favorably with the song’s suave beat, making for a refined coupling of lyrical and melodic content.
You’re invited to become “Tied Up” in the 3:17 affair below.
