Preview Deorro's Forthcoming New Album "Good Evening" Here
As the release date for Deorro’s debut, full length studio album draws nearer, the production slated to drop on March 31st, it becomes increasingly apparent that the record, titled “Good Evening,” is a work that’s taken Deorro much more than just “Five Hours” to craft.
The twenty-four track album has instead been an artistic work in progress over the past few years—three to be exact—and understandably so: the record marries a variety of genres under the header “Good Evening.” Bearing progressive and electro-house elements, followed by bass and funk, swing, and even dubstep tones, “Good Evening” looks to March 31st as an expose of Deorro’s undeniable talent and range as both DJ and producer.
The forthcoming album seeks to exhibit a side of Deorro previously unseen on Deorro’s Pitbull collaboration “Bailar,” or the upbeat “Perdoname,” prior offerings that have enforced an aesthetic flashiness of sound as being characteristic of Deorro’s stye. Good Evening’s classification as a dabble in different genres is alternatively cemented by the early release of “Rise and Shine,” a track featured on Good Evening. Despite the song’s publication into the EDM genre, the song bears a distinctly antiquated feel, engendered by the single’s use of swing style vocals. But don’t outdate the song before listening; the classic, old time tone of the song is contrasted—and notably complemented—by an energetic beat that transcends the song’s retro quality.
Good Evening is now available for pre-order, and comes with an added bonus: those who choose to pre-order the album will automatically receive the album’s leading single, “Rise and Shine.” For everyone else, a preview of the track appears below.
