Renaissance Themed Music Festival, Middlelands Deserves Crown for Stellar Lineup Announcement
The expression goes “everything’s bigger in Texas,” a saying solidified by the conceptualization of the next big thing as far as festivals go, the Middlelands Festival.
Dreamt up by the masterminds behind Electric Daisy Carnival and Lollapalooza, the Middlelands Festival, set to open for its first year of production in Todd Mission, Texas caters to the inner child present within each festival goer with the creation of a Renaissance themed music festival. Ready your swords lords and ladies, for the institution of the Middlelands Fest just might render kandi out of fashion for this particular event, taking place on Friday, May 5th to Sunday, May 7th.
Hosted on a 200 acre range of Texas Renaissance Festival Fair Grounds, the festival will feature five different stages on which festival goers may witness some of the top names in EDM deliver sets: Castle Northwoods, The Stronghold, Middlelands Arena, Trinity Vale, and The Wench’s Bay. In addition to various stages, Middlelands likewise will offer attendees free carnival rides, and four-dimensional festival décor influenced by natural elements, air, wind, and fire to name a few. Click the pictures shown below for an enlarged view of the stages expected at the 2017 festival.
The scene of the festival is sure to be embellished to a point of grandeur, not a surprise given the energy put into the construction of Electric Daisy Carnival, renowned for its stages—marvels of modern architecture—carnival rides, and various performers.
Only peasants, it seems, would miss the opportunity to attend a Medieval electronic dance music festival, but as Crust Nation answers to a noble crowd, we have the ticket information necessary to aid you in securing tickets to the first year festival. Middlelands currently offers 3 day GA tickets at $185, and 3 day VIP tickets at $410. Note that these are the ticket prices before fees have been applied. Those interested in the festival may also purchase a payment plan for an initial payment of $90. The payment plan option is in effect until February 28th, meaning that those interested in budgeting their shillings will need to act relatively fast. Sadly, the festival does not exercise the barter system, regardless of its accord with the festival’s theme.
If the Renaissance theme complete with an assortment of stages and rides was not substantial enough to tempt ravers to abandon their Cinco de Mayo tequila for kilts and crowns—huzzah—Middlelands has cultivated a lineup of powerhouse performers to entice dance music fans to venture to Todd Mission. Headlining talent includes Bassnectar, Galantis, What So Not, Gramatik, GRiZ, Alison Wonderland, and Datsik among other top names in EDM. The complete lineup appears below.
