Martin Garrix Announces New Music Coming Next Friday, Reveals Single's Artwork?

Stop “In the Name of Love,” for Martin Garrix is releasing a new single as early as next Friday, January 27th.

Titled “Scared to Be Lonely,” the forthcoming track features English singer/songwriter, Dua Lipa, known for her defiantly confident song “Blow Your Mind (Mwah).” “Scared to Be Lonely’s” existence has hardly been a secret, with even Dua Lipa acknowledging awareness of the single via Twitter, where she tweeted “guess the cat’s out of the bag.”

Yet the latest Garrix production was not merely a figment of rumor or speculation, but actuality; Garrix confirmed his focus on the production of new music through a preview of the song at AVA on New Year’s Eve. The track is likened to “In the Name of Love” on account of its incorporation of a strong female vocal part, yet the drop seems a deviation from Garrix’s usual. The track appears to be an inclination towards the future house style, a form becoming increasingly popular as future house emblems Tchami and Oliver Heldens continue to attract success for their productions within the musical category.

In a recent tweet, Garrix seems also to have revealed the artwork for the single, a sole figure standing on a moon. Catch a glimpse of "Scared to Be Lonely" in a video taken from the AVA festival below.
