Justin Caruso Shows Off Smooth "Soft Side" on New Single, "Love Somebody"
The origin of a brilliant final product is often unexpected. For Justin Caruso, the latest artist to be releasing new music on “Is It Love” producer, 3LAU’s not-for-profit dance label, BLUME, the source of his newest track, “Love Somebody” would be a three-hour FaceTime call between the DJ/producer and the song’s vocalist, Chris Lee, the three-hour time span a window over which the vibrant tune was produced.
Love Somebody is a standout. A signature blend of pop and EDM elements in Caruso’s characteristic refined style, Love Somebody is both a fresh, new direction in musical sound, and a favorable elongation of Caruso’s career, Caruso memorable for his prior release, “Talk About Me,” a single that featured Victoria Zaro as the song’s vocalist. Talk About Me would go on to gain more than one-million streams in one week, reaching #2 on Hypem and SoundCloud Dance, and #44 on Spotify’s Global Viral Charts. Given Caruso’s past success, Love Somebody can only predict new heights for the producer, a junior at USC.
As a part of the BLUME philanthropic initiative, all profits from the sale and stream of Love Somebody will be directed to the label’s goal of raising $30,000 for the ACLU.
BLUME was founded by Justin Blau, the face of “3LAU” in April of 2016. The label’s establishment came with another aspiration in tow: the desire to generate $200,000 in charitable funds for Pencils of Promise. Goal turned to achievement with 3LAU’s supervision, leading BLUME to become a prominent charitable organization of its own kind since.
