DJ Snake Cancels Another Performance
Last week, DJ Snake’s cancellation of his appearance at Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival and deletion of his Twitter and Instagram accounts left many to wonder just what had led the “Middle” producer to go MIA. The Parisian producer has not offered any explanation for his disappearance since, simply posting one final Snapchat before distancing himself from all social media platforms. The last Snapchat to be posted by the DJ would be a short phrase in French, its translation reading “You’ve disappointed me” in English. The message has led many to speculate that the DJ’s final Snapchat story is in reference to fans’ reactions to the copyright infringement lawsuit involving DJ Snake and Lil Jon for their 2013 hit, “Turn Down For What.”
Snake matters have only grown foggier in the time following the DJ’s social media blackout. Although scheduled to perform at Wynn in Las Vegas as a part of the entertainment capital’s Memorial Day festivities, the producer cancelled the appearance, his talent agency Paradigm, releasing the cancellation information via a tweet. The agency noted that although DJ Snake was “disappointed” to “miss this weekend’s event,” he will return to Wynn on June 30th. DJ Snake is additionally scheduled to appear at weekend two of Electric Forest.
