Calvin Harris Confirms Release Date For The New Album We All Suspected He'd Made
We suspected that “This Is What You Came For” producer, Calvin Harris, might be on the verge of dropping a new album following the release of the smash hit Migos/Frank Ocean collab, “Slide.” Those suspicions were renewed via “Heatstroke,” the single to follow in Slide’s footsteps.
Thanks to a Snapchat story, Harris has now confirmed his production of another studio album, due June 30th. Dubbed “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1,” the album will answer to Harris’s last, the fifteen-track “Motion,” released back in 2014.
In typical Harris style, the collaborations list is rife with top industry talent. While Harris has offered no definitive track list, leaving us to wonder just how many songs will comprise Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. Regardless, listeners can expect Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Kehlani, Future, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean, Schoolboy Q, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, D.R.A.M., Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, Jessie Reyez, Partynextdoor, and Snoop Dogg to surface on the latest record.
