Dillon Francis on indefinite social media hiatus
Dillon Francis appears to be taking the sentiment of his last single, “Say Less,” more seriously than one might expect. The “Bruk Bruk” producer doubles as both DJ and social media mainstay, pervading all social media platforms with his witty brand of humor, but channeling most of his hilarity to Snapchat and Instagram.
Yet for the past five days, Francis has neglected to post anything on any of his social media accounts. His absence is supposedly the product of his advertisement of his newly dropped music video for the G-Eazy collaboration, Say Less, posts that led fans to complain that Francis was too frequently marketing the music video on social media for more exposure. “Here how bout this…I’m gonna stop posting on everything for the rest of the year…it’s been fun but I’m out.”
While it seems unlikely that Francis will hold to a year long social media detox, he’s already five days strong, indicating that he’s taking the hiatus seriously, for now at least.
