EDX Unveils Career Impacting Announcements Mere Hours Before Astoria, Queens Show
Those interested in hearing the latest EDX remix won’t want to miss his performance at Central Lounge in Astoria, Queens this evening. EDX appears at Central as a stop on his dynamic 2016/2017 “High On You” tour, where he will receive direct support from up and coming DJ, Sam Allan, an event that we discuss in greater detail in a prior pre-show article which may be read at the bottom of the page.
EDX’s show at Central coincides with several new announcements concerning the shape of the Swiss powerhouse’s 2017 career, most notably the release of a new single, 2017 tour dates, and a residency with one of Las Vegas’s leading nightlife brands, Wynn. Needless to say, it’s a big day for the Zurich born DJ.
EDX’s take on Lika Morgan’s “Feel The Same” has officially dropped as of today, an intoxicating combination of EDX’s characteristic synth manipulations, a smooth vocal, and a beat that demands a head bob at the very least. It’s impossible not to move to the enthusiastic new track, formally titled the “EDX Dubai Skyline Radio Mix.” The well crafted and auditorily distinct remake is positioned for popularity upon its release—seize the opportunity to see EDX drop the fresh new track live tonight. Tickets to the show may be claimed—note that admission is free for the Central event—at the button below.
Those unable to be in attendance when EDX takes the deck at Central tonight won’t be wanting for opportunities to see the deep house hit maker. On the heels of a “High On You” tour expansion, EDX has added 14 additional dates to the tour for January of 2017, enabling EDX to play again in New York City, Miami, LA, Las Vegas, Toronto, Chicago, and Cartagena, among various other cities to be revealed. Of the many cities that EDX is set to visit, it will be Las Vegas that will perhaps receive the majority of the Spinnin’ Records’s signee’s attention, via his recently announced residency with luxury resort and casino enterprise, Wynn. The residency will allow EDX to play at all properties held by Wynn, including Surrender, hot spot Encore Beach Club, XS Las Vegas, and Intrigue.
Alex Cordova, Wynn Nightlife’s Executive Vice President and Managing Partner, remarks in a recent press release “Wynn Nightlife has always had a strong commitment to providing the best entertainment experience possible.” Yet we don’t need a press release with an official Cordova statement to judge Wynn’s devotion to the design of a nightlife schedule rife with premiere acts. We may rather take EDX’s exclusive residency with Wynn, a 2017 deal that will align him among the likes of fellow newcomers, Alison Wonderland, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Marshmello, and Robin Schulz among others.
2017 very practically emerges as the year in which EDX’s career as a DJ/producer will traverse new musical territory—we’re already “high on EDX.”
