Deadmau5 Will Be Adding More Dates to "lots of shows in a row" Tour
In less than two weeks, deadmau5 will embark on his 2017 “lots of shows in a row tour,” an initiative that will kick off with four consecutively sold out show dates at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom from March 29th-April 1st, and conclude at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom on May 5th.
deadmau5’s announcement of the 2017 miniature tour was the source of elation for many mau5trap fans, but likewise, the site of disappointment for those whose cities were not found on the roster of locations in which deadmau5 would perform. The tour includes appearances in Camden, Lowell, Detroit, Seattle, Oakland, Chicago, and of course, Los Angeles, but notably underrepresents Southern and Midwestern cities. In acknowledgement of the number of show dates already sold out—and therefore somewhat inaccessible, what with ticket scalping and the inherent risk present in purchasing tickets secondhand—as well as in recognizance of the lack of Southern/Midwestern dates, a Twitter user named “Pulse Regime” addressed deadmau5 on Twitter to inquire about the potential for tour dates to be added to the tour.
deadmau5’s response warrants suspicion that the tour’s finale in Chicago on May 5th may only be a tentative completion of “lots of shows in a row”: “I think we end up getting to that like 1/2 way through the tour as is. But yeah. More dates/places.”
Those unable to attend the already advertised deadmau5 dates due to sell outs, or alternatively, due to distance, may rest easy in the knowledge that the “4ware” producer aims to supply fans with “more dates and places,” an enlargement of the 2017 spring tour that seems only a matter of time, yet we’ll happily play the waiting game.
