DJ Snake Reactivates Social Media Accounts, Shares Snapchat Story
DJ Snake’s second cancellation of a scheduled performance—his appearance at Wynn Las Vegas for Memorial Day Weekend—only amplified the mystique that has surrounded the “Let Me Love You” producer since his cancellation of his booking at Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival, and his ensuing disappearance from all social media platforms, the DJ abruptly deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts without explanation.
The final Snapchat posted by the Parisian producer materialized in his native language, French, it’s English translation reading “You disappointed me.” The message foreboding, many presumed that the comment was in reference to listeners’ reactions to the lawsuit currently in action against Lil Jon and DJ Snake regarding their 2013 single, “Turn Down For What.”
Today, Twitter and Instagram welcomed Snake back, his accounts resurfacing, and a geotagged picture of a Paris bridge with the geotag “Paris” functioning as his latest Snapchat story update. The DJ has not offered any justification for his recent shying from both live shows and social media, and one may never be offered, but the producer’s rejoining society can only indicate that the brief absence has come to a close, short lived in nature.
