Alesso signs with Shots Studios after his contract with ATM expires
Gary Richards isn’t the only one moving on from his past ties. Alesso has bid ATM Artists goodbye, his contract with the firm, managed by Amy Thomson, having expired. After working with Thomson for seven-years, Alesso is moving forward in a different direction, signing with Shots Studios, a firm that credits its start to the management of aspiring YouTube stars, and an invested interest in digital marketing and content creation. Shots broadened its reach, extending its influence into the musical realm by signing Anitta and Poo Bear, but Alesso emerges as the firm’s largest signing to date.
“After meeting with them [CEO and CCO John and Sam Shahidi] and learning more about the Shots vision, joining them was a no-brainer,” Alesso says of his move. Alesso’s previous firm was known to work with a variety of high-profile artists, with Thomson previously managing Swedish House Mafia, Chase & Status, and Axwell ^ Ingrosso. Yet regardless, Alesso shares that he is “very happy @shots,” as confirmed by his recent reply to a Billboard article detailing his move.
