Visa Issues Prevent Blasterjaxx From Performing at Miami Music Week
Dutch duo, Blasterjaxx, was noticeably missing from the Ultra Music Lineup this year, yet irregardless were expected to play an integral role in the development of Miami Music Week as the “Faith” producers scheduled appearances for several MMW events.
Slated to appear at the Revealed Recordings and Spinnin’ Records pool parties, on Thursday, March 23rd and Saturday, March 25th respectively, Blasterjaxx components, Thom Jongkind and Idi Makhlaf, have been forced to cancel their upcoming bookings due to visa related issues. “To our surprise we have not been immediately approved the renewal of our required working Visa, meaning we will not be able to perform during Miami Music Week,” the pair wrote in an informative post on their Facebook page. While the unexpected inconvenience has caught the duo “off guard,” Blasterjaxx remains “confident” that receipt of the Visa “will happen eventually.”
In the meantime, KURA, Julian Jordan, and DubVision will replace Blasterjaxx at the Revealed Recordings event, and MAKJ and Vinai will take the pair’s place at the Spinnin’ Records pool party. Blasterjaxx's original Facebook post appears below.
