Who Is Dante Klein? Spinnin' Records' Young New Anticipated Chart Topper
Cheat Codes and Dante Klein proved to be a combo more satisfying than the age old classic of PB&J in their June 30, 2016 release “Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On).” The track drew inspiration from the 2003 Kevin Lyttle track, “Turn Me On,” a suave song that created an unmistakably sexy, summery island sound. Pulling elements from the original Lyttle concept, “Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)” couples Lyttle’s original lyrics with those added by Cheat Codes. The YouTube video for the song appears above. The Cheat Codes trio, hailing from Los Angeles, also gathered attention for their fellow 2016 release, “Sex.”
Cheat Codes’ re-imagination of the 2003 beat would not have been possible without the fluid vocals of Amsterdam native, Dante Klein. The young DJ/producer works on the Spinnin’ Record label, who offered a very sweet preview of Klein’s latest project, a song titled “Harder.” Spinnin’ advertised a sample of the tropical tune, set to a lyric video on its Twitter account, @SpinninRecords, on December 28, 2016. "Not a better way to start your day," the 12:36 AM published tweet announces, and we have to agree. The 51 second clip left us here at Crust Nation wanting more than a few seconds’ worth of Klein’s vocal temptation, so we hunted down a longer two minute extension of the song that appears below. but
We’re casting our prediction now that Dante Klein will become the voice of summer of 2017, so keep an eye on Spinnin’s Twitter for future Klein drops.
