KSHMR announces birth of his own record label, new music to follow every Friday
KSHMR has kept busy this year, churning out new singles with little time in between each release—think his smash collaboration with Tiesto, “Harder,” and his “Game of Thrones” remix with The Golden Army. KSHMR additionally sought DJ Snake’s attentions on Twitter, writing “check your DM,” a message that for all its brevity, seemed to suggest a KSHMR/DJ Snake collaboration, or at least the Indo-American DJ’s desire for one.
Now, KSHMR has elevated his past momentum to a new peak with the news of his very own record label, “Dharma Worldwide.” The label will witness a flood of new music as KSHMR has announced his intent to publish a new single on the label each Friday, with the forthcoming music to be drawn from his following EP, Materia.
On the heels of Dharma Worldwide comes “Festival of Lights,” the first track to be shared from KSHMR’s next EP. The song an ethnic claim of auditory aesthetic that can be traced to KSHMR’s own Indian-American roots, Festival of Lights marries the cultural to the explosive, the track defined by an energetic building of chords.
