Afrojack Runs into Traffic Trouble at Spring Awakening
The energy high after Borgeous's set at Chicago's Spring Awakening Music Festival, the crowd gathered at the festival's main stage was surprised to find Ghastly filling in for "Turn Up The Speakers" collaborator, Afrojack, Ghastly having already made an appearance at the Windy City based festival several hours prior.
But Afrojack's performance was only to be stalled, not stopped. The DJ admittedly found himself caught in traffic on his way to the festival, a channeling of the "Celebrities, They're Just Like Us" photo gallery present in many of the top selling tabloids, including US Weekly and Star. Afrojack took to Twitter to notify fans that he would be late, and duly, to apologize for the delay. Arriving "fashionably late" about five minutes into the set, Afrojack took over for Ghastly, thanking Marshmello, the leader of the succeeding set, for allowing him to bleed five minutes into his set (Mello's) to make up for the lost time. Afrojack, as could be expected, was worth the wait, the producer delivering a high energy set rife with tried and true hits, and newer material.
